How to effectively maintain bearings?

wallpapers Tech 2020-11-23

To give full play to the role of the bearing and maintain its due performance for a long time, regular maintenance is very necessary. Therefore, it is necessary to pass appropriate periodic inspections to the bearings to find faults early to prevent the occurrence of faults, which can effectively improve productivity and economic benefits.

Clean

When disassembling and inspecting the bearing, please use photos or other recording methods to record its appearance. Secondly, before cleaning the bearing, confirm the remaining amount of lubrication and sample the lubricating fluid. Bearing cleaning can be divided into rough cleaning and fine cleaning. When in use, a metal grid can be placed at the bottom of the container. When rough washing, use a brush to remove grease or oil stains. If the bearing is now rotating in oil, be aware that the rolling surface may be damaged by foreign objects. During the fine cleaning process, you need to be very careful to let the bearing rotate slowly in the oil. Common cleaning agents are neutral, non-aqueous diesel or kerosene, and sometimes slightly alkaline liquids are used as needed. But no matter what cleaning agent is used, it must be filtered frequently to keep it clean. After cleaning, immediately apply anti-rust oil or anti-rust oil on the bearing.

Inspection and Evaluation

To determine whether the disassembled bearing can be reused, its dimensional accuracy, rotation accuracy, internal clearance, mating surface, raceway surface, cage and sealing ring must be checked. The inspection standard depends on the mechanical performance and importance, inspection period, etc. If the following damage occurs, the bearings cannot be reused and must be replaced.
